Let’s make a memory Let’s get together and make a memory. A memory so special that it can only happen in the rarified stratosphere of gentle trust and complete giving to each other. If we can open our hearts and reveal the true self, that part of ourselves that no one else sees, that part of ourselves that only we know and that only God can see, that part of ourselves that we hold in reserve as a fortress against what life may bring, that part of ourselves that we run to when the world seems so unfair and unforgiving, that part of ourselves we retreat into when we wonder whether life is really worth living, then and only then can we have a meeting of souls and a moment of Epiphany . To create such a memory we must lose ourselves in the moment, we must drop all reserve, we must make ourselves vulnerable by unlocking the fortress of our secret self. I want to touch you, really touch you, the real you, the secret you. I want to wiggle inside your secret place and forever become a part of your inner-most thoughts. I want you to touch me in such a way that I internalize the texture of you , the feel of you, the scent of you, the totality of you. I want to make a memory that is so special that I can wrap it up and store it within my own secret garden, my secret place that I run to when life becomes overwhelming. I want to feel , and I want you to feel , unconditional love –no strings attached and no promises for anything except to create that one moment of pure exchange of the essence of ourselves. In that moment of fusion we become greater than ourselves, the sum total becomes greater than the sum of the parts. In that moment we create a memory that is chiseled into our soul and in the universe itself. In that moment we create a tiny atom of truth that will survive beyond ourselves. Even time itself cannot defeat truth, truth lives forever. Such a moment cannot be repeated, it can not be duplicated, it is a one of a kind event and as such it can only live in our memory . A memory we can bring out every so often, look at , envelope ourselves with it like a cloud, sigh deeply, and with a sense of deep satisfaction, carefully wrap in tenderness, and store away for another time. Let’s make a memory. William
