Ms. Paige Lane Burnet Dear Paige, God and Jesus have been watching over you today. God loves you and so does Jesus. They are very concerned about what happens to you and want you be a very good and happy young lady when you grow up. Remember if you want to be a good young lady you have to be a good little girl first. Being good is a habit that you have to practice. It is not easy to be good , it takes a lot of work. Being good is hard work but you can make it a lot easier to be good about great big things if you are good about little things. You know little things like cleaning up your room, acting nice during dinner time and acting like a big girl when you go out to dinner. It is hard to practice being good if you whine and complain all the time. Practice using words and speak directly to your Mom, Dad, and Nana. I promise you that if you use your words and do not whine or act like a baby that you will get your Mom and Dad and Nana’s complete attention and help. Acting like a baby does not help at all. I notice you are now 5 years old and that is getting to be a big girl pretty soon. As you get older and grow up you will need to work on being good and making good habits. If you work on getting good habits some day when you really , really have a problem you will have plenty of friends to help you. Of course you always have God and Jesus to help you. Paige, I want you to know that even though I am not as strong as God and Jesus that I will always help you in any way I can. When we talk about help you must remember that help is doing what is best for you. Help is not always getting what you want but help is making sure that you are always doing the right thing and always making good habits. Most of the time, but not always, when you do your part by being a good girl and growing up to be a good young lady , you will get what you want out of life. But sometimes bad things will happen even when you have been good and when bad things happen that is when you will be glad you have a Mommy and Daddy and Nana to help you and to love you. When bad things happen that is when you will be glad that God and Jesus are there to help you too. Ask your Mommy and Daddy and Nana how you can get God and Jesus to help you grow up to be the kind of young lady I can be so proud of. I never got the chance to watch your Daddy grow up but I did get the chance to watch your Mommy grow up and I know she worked hard to get good habits and I know when bad things happen and when things get hurtful that she knows who she can go to for help and love. Ask your Mommy about how she got good habits and maybe you can get them too. Why don’t you write me sometime and let me know how you are doing. I really , really like getting letters from you. When you write let me know what is happening in school and at home. I am very interested in all the stuff you are doing.
